This policy explains how 76Tech handles information when you read our guides or contact the site administrator. It applies to this website, including its contact form, and does not cover independent websites linked from our articles.
Who operates this website
76Tech is an independent technology publication. The site administrator manages this website and the messages submitted through it. For privacy questions or requests, use our contact form and select “Privacy request.” A public email address is not required to send a message through the form.
Information you choose to provide
The contact form collects your selected subject and message, plus your name and reply email if you choose to provide them. A submission reference and timestamp help us identify messages and prevent duplicate submissions. An email address is optional; if you omit it, we can review your message but may be unable to reply or verify a request concerning your information.
We use this information to respond to questions, investigate corrections, handle privacy or copyright concerns, and administer the publication. Contact submissions are delivered to a private administrator inbox, not published as comments. Do not include passwords, payment details, identification documents, or unnecessary sensitive information.
Technical information and service providers
Our hosting and delivery services may process technical request information, including an IP address, browser information, requested resource, and request time, to deliver the website and maintain security. Contact messages are stored in a database provided through our hosting platform. Our form also derives a one-way security identifier from the request IP address and a server secret to limit repeated submissions. The contact database does not store the raw IP address in that field.
The website currently requests fonts from Google Fonts. Those requests connect your browser to Google's font services. Article photographs and guide diagrams are served from this website; opening a photograph credit, official documentation link, or another external resource connects you to that separate service. Those providers handle their requests under their own policies. See Google's Privacy Policy for information about those services.
Cookies and browser storage
76Tech loads Google AdSense for advertising. Google and its partners may use cookies, local storage, device identifiers and similar technologies to deliver and measure advertisements, prevent fraud and, where permitted by your choices, personalize advertising. We do not embed a separate analytics tracker. The code playground saves your code draft and selected example in this browser using local storage until you reset it or clear site data. Contact messages are not saved in browser storage. Hosting services may use cookies for sign-in and administrator access. See our Cookie Policy.
Google AdSense advertising
This website includes Google AdSense code. Advertising providers, including Google, may use cookies based on your earlier visits to this website or other websites. Google's advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to personalize ads using browsing activity across websites. Advertising technologies may also involve web beacons, IP addresses, and other identifiers.
You can manage personalized advertising through Google My Ad Center or visit YourAdChoices for participating providers. Learn how Google uses information from partner websites. Any additional enabled advertising partners and their privacy links will be identified in the applicable consent message or an updated policy. AdSense code is present; this does not indicate Google approval or guarantee that advertisements are displayed.
Choices and consent
You can read the current articles without submitting personal details through our form. For visitors in the EEA, United Kingdom and Switzerland, advertising consent is managed through a Google-certified consent management platform when its message is published for this site. The message lets you consent, decline consent or manage purposes and partners. To revisit your choice, use the “Privacy and cookie settings” link provided by the consent platform at the bottom of the page when available. If these controls are unavailable, contact the administrator through the privacy-request form. No advertising-consent choice is collected by the current contact form. Confirming that you have read this policy does not consent to personalized advertising. Browser settings may allow you to restrict or delete cookies; platform access features may be affected.
Sharing and security
The administrator and hosting services process contact information for the purposes described above. We do not sell contact messages or publish them as a visitor directory. Information may need to be disclosed to respond to a lawful request or protect the website against abuse. The administrator inbox requires authorization, and access is checked on the server. No transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Retention and requests
Contact messages and their submission metadata are kept in the website inbox for up to 90 days of active availability, unless the administrator deletes them sooner. Older records are excluded from the inbox and removed when the contact service next processes a submission or an administrator opens the inbox. Hosting logs and provider backup copies are managed separately by those providers. Do not use this contact form as a permanent archive of important documents.
Where applicable law gives you rights concerning your information, you may request access, correction, deletion, or other available options through the contact form. Describe the message and approximate submission date without including unnecessary sensitive data. We may need enough information to establish that the request relates to your submission. You may also have a right to contact the relevant data protection authority.
Children and policy updates
This publication is intended for a general audience and is not designed to collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information that should be removed, contact the administrator. We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date below. Review the policy again before submitting information if you have not visited recently.
